Business Hotlines
Security Voice is a Leading Provider for Ethics, Compliance, and Anonymous Reporting Systems.
Anonymous hotlines allow employees the choice to report their concerns anonymously to a third-party HR representative who researches and/or investigates the situation and notifies the business of the issue(s), allowing the company to promptly address the situation before it escalates into a bigger issue and/or potential lawsuit.
As part of an overall security and ethics plan, an anonymous hotline plays a significant role in assuring ethical business conduct.
Easy to use: Our hotline uses a toll free 800 telephone number. No training is required. Callers are given case numbers and asked to call back within five business days to respond to the Company’s follow-up questions.
Works Automatically: Our hotline requires no time or attention on your part, until an employee calls to report inappropriate activity. Then, you receive a verbatim transcript of the call no later than the next business day. If the report is urgent, a company representative is contacted immediately. A case management system is available for larger companies.
Confidentiality: The caller’s name is never asked. Employees are ready and willing to pass information on to the company if they can do so anonymously and without fear of retribution.
Available 24/7: Most calls are made after office hours. Calls are taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Affordable: Set-up fees are nominal and the overall system costs less than a penny a day, per employee.
English, Spanish or the Web: When calling the 800 number, the caller has a choice of listening to the program in English or Spanish. Their report will be translated and transcribed before being sent to the company’s representative. They can also choose to communicate anonymously by logging onto the web portal where they also have the choice of English or Spanish.
Flexibility: Our hotline allows employees to chose the method of reporting in which they feel most comfortable. Reporting options include:·
- Telephone reporting via Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system
- Web reporting
- Live intake specialists who are available 24/7/365
- Case Management – our secure web portal allows customers to store reports, perform report analytics and establish mulitple users
At first is was just a good idea; now, it’s the law that publicly traded companies have a way for employees to anonymously report accounting, internal accounting controls or auditing issues.
The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, also known as The Corporate Responsibility Act, was enacted on July 30, 2002 in response to several corporate and accounting scandals. These scandals shook public confidence, causing lawmakers to create legislation to further regulate the securities market. This legislation established new or enhanced standards for all U.S. public companies, management, and public accounting firms.
Security Voice can help you comply with these SOX requirements and standards, specifically those mentioned in Section 301, paragraph 4:
“Each audit committee shall establish procedures for (A) the receipt, retention and treatment of complaints received by the issuer regarding accounting, internal accounting controls, or auditing matters; and (B) the confidential, anonymous submission by employees of the issuer of concerns regarding questionable accounting or auditing matters.”
